Sakuma, a driver for Yamimi Transport, is killed in an accident on the job, involving a passerby. His daughter, Eri Shinomiya (Ao Ito), files a civil lawsuit against the company, claiming that excessive work was the cause, but the company claims Sakuma was negligent. Shinomiya's lawyer, Hozumi (Mirai Yamamoto), has high hopes for the leadership of the case from Judge Kadokura (Kenichi Endo), known as the "legendary rebel."
