Osama Samir

Osama Samir is an Egyptian lyricist and television program producer. He began his career in 1991 after being accredited as a lyricist by Egyptian Radio, and in 1994 he joined Egyptian Television’s Channel One as a producer for several popular programs, including "Amani wa (and) Aghani" (Wishes and Songs), "Maza Law" (What If), "Taam El-Buyout" (Taste of Homes), and "Ya Masaherni" (You Keep Me Awake). He has written numerous successful songs and operettas, collaborating with renowned composers such as Salah El Sharnouby and Sami El Hefnawi. His lyrics have been performed by some of the Arab world’s most celebrated singers, including Khaled Agag, Abdullah Al Rowaished, Ahmed Ibrahim, Nadia Mostafa, and Mai Farouk. Over the course of his career, Samir has received several prestigious awards, including the Best Lyrics Award at the 3rd Cairo International Song Festival for "Radi" (performed by Ahmed Ibrahim), and the Grand Prize at the Rabat Festival in Morocco for "Erfa’ Eidak" (Raise Your Hand), composed and performed by Ahmed Ibrahim. He is a member of the Union of Arab Media Professionals and Creators, an organization recognized by the United Nations
